Ingredients:

The Patty: 250g high-quality beef mince (or a thick plant-based patty)

The Spices: ½ tsp cumin, ½ tsp ground coriander, and a pinch of salt/pepper.

The Bun: 1 Brioche bun (toasted)

The Cheese: 1 thick slice of Monterey Jack or Mild Cheddar

The Savvy Sauce: 1 tbsp Mayonnaise mixed with 1 tsp Sriracha (adjust for heat)

The Star: 3 tbsp Turmeric Curry kraut

The Fresh Bits: 1 thick slice of beef tomato and a leaf of butter lettuce

Method:

The Patty: In a bowl, gently mix the mince with the cumin and coriander. Shape into a thick patty. Make a small thumb-indent in the middle (this stops the burger from "doming" while cooking).

The Sear: Heat a cast-iron pan or BBQ to high. Cook the patty for 3ā4 mins per side.

The Melt: Once you flip the burger, place the cheese slice on top. Cover the pan with a lid for 30 seconds to get the cheese completely molten.

The Toast: Lightly butter the brioche bun and toast it in the same pan until golden.

The Build: * Spread the Sriracha Mayo on both the top and bottom bun.

Place the lettuce and tomato on the bottom.

Add the cheesy patty.
